Comforting and Practical Items For Small Children

Katie Little Blankets

These are the best blankets I have ever bought and my kids both love them! They are incredibly soft and edged with satin so they are great for children to snuggle into when they need comfort and safety. They come in multiple colors that are perfect for both genders and are easy to wash.

Robeez Shoes

These are fantastic for babies and toddlers who need a comfortable yet practical shoe. The soft leather on the upper part of the shoe is durable and the suede on the bottom of the shoe helps kids grip the floor without being heavy and cumbersome. They come in so many different styles and colors and the elastic around the ankle makes it easy for parents to put the shoes on but more difficult for the child to take them off.
They are a little pricey, but they last a long time, are easy to pack and are really comfortable for kids--no squished toes or hard material digging into their feet.

Essential Oil of Clove

This has been a Godsend for my teething children! I usually purchase Young Living Clove Oil and put a small drop on my finger. I then rub the oil along my gums first to reduce the strength of the oil before rubbing it on my kids' gums.
There can be a slight burning/hot sensation in your mouth for a few seconds (during which your child may cry) but then there is numbness and relief and I usually give my kids their blanket at this point to chew on or their pacifier to suck on.
My doctor indicated this was safe to use and reminded me that many dentists will pack gums with clove after wisdom teeth are removed.
